Renthal's Tapered dual compoun grip has a larger diameter of soft compound where your thumb grips it and gradually tapers down to a traditional size on the ends. With the increased diameter in the thumb area, they offer a softer feel.

Dual compound grips combine the longevity of Renthal firm compound grips with the feel and absorption qualities of the Renthal soft compounds. The entire outer diameter of the grip is made from a soft compound.
